GENERAL SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
Kamehameha Publishing is an ʻŌiwi Hawaiʻi publisher of high-quality, community-based materials that amplify ʻōlelo Hawaiʻi, ʻike Hawaiʻi, and kuanaʻike Hawaiʻi. Utilizing a range of print and digital media, Kamehameha Publishing delivers rich and engaging Hawaiian culture-based educational content for haumāna of all ages in both formal and informal settings.
We welcome submissions in all formats (print and digital) that align with these goals, especially within these three areas:
• ʻIke kupuna / archival recovery
• P–12 kula resources
• Contemporary voices / ʻŌiwi scholarship
These publication tracks are supported by advisory groups that represent a cross section of the broader Hawaiʻi community, including educators, cultural practitioners, and industry professionals.

To submit a project to Kamehameha Publishing, please complete this form. Beginning March 2026, we will review submissions through this form only, and will no longer accept submission materials sent by email.
Please submit digital copies of your work. We are unable to accept or store original manuscripts, artwork, or other physical materials.

SUBMITTING TO HŪLILI: MULTIDISCIPLINARY RESEARCH ON HAWAIIAN WELL-BEING
Hūlili is a multidisciplinary forum for current research that examines the nature, needs, and strengths of Kānaka Maoli and Native Hawaiian communities. Through collaboration and critique, Hūlili fosters new connections and shared insights to mobilize greater Hawaiian well-being..
Hūlili welcomes manuscripts in English and ʻōlelo Hawaiʻi from both established and emerging scholars involved in research on Hawaiian well-being from diverse fields such as economics, education, family resources, government, health, history, natural resource management, psychology, religion, sociology, and so forth. We welcome manuscripts with an empirical focus as well as contributions at the cutting edge of theoretical debates and practice in these fields.

Kamehameha Publishing supports Kamehameha Schools’ mission by publishing and distributing Hawaiian language, culture, and community-based materials that engage learners as well as reinforce and invigorate Hawaiian cultural vitality.
We strive to make it easy for learners, educators, and readers of all ages to access high-quality materials for home and school use. We also seek to build a community of shared storytelling and learning. These efforts are supported by two discount programs:

KS DEPARTMENTAL ORDERS
Kamehameha Schools’ internal groups, divisions, departments, and programs receive a 60% discount on Kamehameha Publishing products.
To sign up for the discount program, just follow these two steps:
- Create a user account.
- Complete our registration form using your KS organizational email and worksite address.
Once both steps are done, please allow 2-3 days for notification of discount approval and further instructions.
